Queer (2024)

i'm a little disappointed for not really being able to enjoy this movie. a central theme here is a longing for connection and love, which i think is a feeling i empathize with deeply. but the personification of this idea in william is so tortured that it felt suffocating. the movie really goes off the rails in the third act in, honestly not a good way? i was not even sure if gene was a real person towards the end

also hilarious that i had just complained about the lack of ass in gladiator 2, and was subsequently shown an exorbitant amount of it in queer
