M3GAN 2.0 (2025)

A largely adequate sequel with an unnecessarily complicated plot. I did enjoy watching Megan deliver more iconically sassy one liners, but I did not enjoy the AI regulation lobbying that this film somehow felt obliged to do. This is not the right format or the place. 

It’s missing the edge and focus of the original, but it does at least in part make up for it in spectacle. The filmmakers know what we want now, which is to watch megan serve, and it gave us loads of that, but i still feel like it could have given us more. 

Side note: Gemma was supremely annoying. Thankfully I think the writers know that and gave her plenty of good torture that was really satisfying to watch.
