Look Back (2024)

★★★★½

Beautiful, poignant, and concise, Look Back is a love letter to manga as an art form. Life is short, and so much of it is often consumed by work that seems to contradict the fleeting urgency of existence. This movie is a reminder, both in its brevity and message, that art’s true power lies not in isolation or escape, but in its ability to connect and express the depths of the human experience. This had been in my backlog for a while, and i’m happy I didn’t let it sit there forever.
