Frankenstein (2025)
★★★
This film was visually stunning, but because I did not grow up consuming any media related to Frankenstein, some of the iconic-ness of the tale is lost on me. The theme of the film didn't quite resonate with me, but I'm glad I got an actual introduction to this classic monster. This film actually made me appreciate Poor Things a little more, with the hindsight that most people were expected to have the Frankenstein context.
I did not know Frankenstein was played by Jacob Elordi. I wonder, would Barry Keoghan still drink his bathwater even in this form?
