A Real Pain (2024)
★★★½
Everyone carries pain, but when it is acceptable allow it to come to the surface? If the fear of burdening others with your pain is what makes you feel like you must bottle it inside of you, but everyone else also feels the same way, then what are we doing?
i think this movie is generally pro-crashing out. it also comes with a gentle reminder that even when you do let yourself feel real pain, do not expect that to make the pain go away. real pain stays with you no matter how much you process it, but it’s worth feeling anyway.
